Make a MESS Monday

I am constantly frustrated and embarrassed with the state of my house. It’s a mess. I could run the vacuum all day long and there would still be dog hair everywhere. And the baby stuff- where in the world did all this stuff come from? I try, I really do. I feel like I am constantly cleaning, vacuuming, swiffering, taking out trash, doing laundry. And yet, my house still looks like a tornado blew through, leaving Babies ‘R Us in its wake.

Then there’s the people that live in this house. Ryan with his stinky coaching clothes, me sporting the latest in baby vomit and desperately needing a haircut and a pedicure. And Grayson- well, I think he gets a pass because 1. he’s a baby and 2. he’s so cute.

Well, today I am officially declaring Mondays Make a MESS Monday and embracing the mess in my life! And for the kickoff…Mashed Potato/Lasagna puree + baby who decided to feed himself  tonight= perfect inaugural Make a MESS Monday! Enjoy!

Make a MESS Monday! I can’t stand the excitement!

Eatin’? Let me show you how it’s done!

This is so fun! Can we do this every day?!

Mom may or may not have given me this awesome GLOP mustache and goatee

The best part about MESSY baby food? It doubles as hair gel!
Cleanup Crew (the only reason we keep her around!)

And for the grandparents (because they will love this but no one else probably wants to sit through it)…

Look at him feeding himself! That's great! But I think it's time to start stripping him down before meal time. ha!

Oh, I am squeeing! When the mess maker is THAT cute, it's easy to embrace the mess!

love the idea! my husband is such a tornado of mess making; yesterday he had my MOM'S kitchen so messsy she about had a stroke. now that he's teaching blaine his antics, i'm the one about to have a stroke. i love how you are dedicating mondays to embrasing messes!

FANTASTIC! Each picture is better then the next, and then the crazy hair with lasagna hair gel, I can barely handle the cuteness. Glad you took some video, so great! Happy messy Monday!

My house also looks like a perpetual tornado zone! Ugh. It was pretty bad before I had Isa though, so I can't really blame her.I love Making a Mess Mondays! I'm about to write a post about how I've had to abandon some cleaning goals to get my everything in order before I head back to work this week. I'm disappointed but I'm taking it in stride. Grayson is so cute! I can't believe he can hold his own spoon! What a smart little man! The day Isa starts insisting on that is the day I just strip her down for her meals. I'm almost at that point now! I swear, meals take an hour and DESTROY our kitchen every time. It's exhausting!

Oh my goodness..I was just thinking the exact same thing this week! How has my home turned into a baby gym? Why is my home a stinking mess all of the time?? Why do I clean it and it is a mess two minutes later?? I am having a real hard time with it and I so badly want to embrace it. So, thank you for writing this post!Grayson is beautiful. Just wanted to let you know, even though I am sure you do already 🙂
